The process of uninstalling a program off the Windows or macOS PC is a relatively simple procedure. It is dependent on the operating system that you use and the procedure you follow, follow the instructions below:
Windows 10
- Click to select the Start button and then select Features and Apps.
- Find and select the program you’d like to delete and then click Uninstall
- Follow the instructions of the uninstall wizard
Windows 8/ 8.1
- Open and locate Control Panel (if you don’t already have Control Panel as a Control Panel shortcut on your traditional desktop, simply move into your Metro interface and then begin typing Control Panel.)
- Once you have logged into the Control Panel Go to Control Panel, then select Programs Then Features and Programs.
- Choose the program you wish to remove, and then press Uninstall
- Follow the wizard’s instructions to uninstall the program.
Windows 7 / Vista
- Click Start and choose Control Panel.
- Choose Programs Select Programs, then Programs and Features.
- Choose the software you want to remove and press Uninstall
- Follow the wizard’s instructions to uninstall the program.
Windows XP
- Click Start and then select Control Panel.
- Choose to Add or Removing Programs
- Choose the program you wish to remove and select Uninstall
- Follow the wizard’s instructions to uninstall the program.
macOS
- Select the the Finder application from the Dock
- Click Applications on the left sidebar
- Click the icon, right-click and select Move to Trash.
- To remove it completely from Trash To remove it from Trash, click the select the the Trash icon on the dock, and select Empty Trash.
Users can also use the uninstaller software to completely deinstall other applications and eliminate any leftovers. Examples: Revo Uninstaller Free for Windows or AppCleaner for macOS.
